Chris Nelson grew up on eastern Long Island, where she spent summers on the beach, daydreaming about her future life as a famous author and flirting with skin cancer.

She earned her undergraduate degree at Duke University and her MFA at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts Program in Dramatic Writing.

After a decade at sea level in NYC, Chris moved to the mountains in Wyoming. Chris still dreams about autographing her best-sellers, but today she wears sunscreen.
